Coffee shops, hawker centres and wet markets -- these spaces have fared the worst in this year's Public Cleanliness Satisfaction Survey. Over 2,000 respondents took part in the study by the Singapore Management University. It also looked at the cleanliness of Singapore's public toilets. Overall, the survey showed that 92% of Singapore residents are generally satisfied with how clean public spaces are. 95% agreed that the government should ensure higher cleaning standards for cleaning contractors, but fewer are willing to spend public monies on such services.
