TODAY'S GOSPEL: Luke 1: 39-56
Today, we celebrate the feast of the Assumption, when Mary rose body and soul into heavenly glory. It is a reminder of the glory and joy that we will receive when we submit and commit ourselves fully to the Lord. It also is a call for us to reflect on the meaning of our lives and our mission on Earth, just as Mary embraced and fulfilled her mission to give birth to the savior of the world. As we live through the challenges of day-to-day, let us remember that we can live our lives in joy as long as we trust in the Lord. As Mary said in the Magnificat: “My heart proclaims the greatness of the Lord; my spirit rejoices in God my savior.” Reflect on this as we celebrate the Kapamilya Sunday Mass today, August 15, 2021, with Father Tito Caluag.
