Hollywood’s rising stars pose as characters from Y2K-era flicks in Vanity Fair shoot

The stars of Gen Y and Z are partying like it’s 1999.
Some of Hollywood’s hottest rising stars celebrated classic turn-of-the-millennium flicks — including “Legally Blonde,” “The Matrix” and “The Royal Tenenbaums” — by posing as characters from the films in Vanity Fair’s new issue.
In the throwback photoshoot, actress Keke Palmer is shown role-playing as the perky, designer purse-toting Harvard law school ditz, Elle Woods, played by Reese Witherspoon in the hit 2001 comedy “Legally Blonde.”
The 27-year-old “Joyful Noise” star rocks a blonde wig and pink skirt as she nails knee-slappers from the movie, according to video footage posted by the magazine.
Meanwhile, actor Charles Melton, known for his role on the Netflix series television series “Riverdale,” channels Keanu Reeves’ character, Neo, in 1999 sci-fri thriller “The Matrix.”
