CISCE to conduct exams twice in 2022; reduces syllabus NEW DELHI: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), which conducts the ICSE (Class X) and ISC (Class XII) board examinations has decided to bifurcate each of the exams into two semesters, with the first semester exams to be conducted in November this year in online mode and the second semester in March/April 2022 either online or offline, depending on the Covid numbers. The Academic Session 2021-22 will be divided into two semesters, with approximately 50% of the syllabus being covered in each semester.
The CISCE will conduct the examinations at the end of each semester. The first-semester examination will be conducted in November 2021 and will be based only on the portion of the syllabus specified for the first semester. This will be an MCQ based examination, which will be conducted online. The second-semester examinations will be conducted in March/April 2022 and will be based only on the portion of the syllabus specified for the second semester. The examination will be conducted in online/offline mode, depending upon the pandemic
