Navigating your way through import procedures for manufactured goods

Manufacturers importing parts and goods from the EU need to prepare for upcoming rule changes.

The UK government has phased in post-Brexit controls and regulations for goods entering GB from the EU across 2021. However, with new rules coming in on 1 October 2021 and 1 January 2022, the need for manufacturers to prepare is increasingly urgent.

On 9 September 2021, the IOE&IT hosted a free webinar guiding manufacturers through the new rules and what they need to do to prepare.

It covered:

- The UK’s phased timetable of rule changes for imports from the EU
- The impact of the UK-EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA)
- How to comply with the TCA’s rules of origin
- Preparing for frontier declarations on all imports from 1 January
- Preparing for using the UKCA mark from 1 January
