Express Entry is a Canadian immigration system that applicants use to apply under the Federal Skilled Worker, Federal Skilled Trades, and Canadian Experience Class Canadian immigration streams.
Every two weeks, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada hand out Invitations to Apply to applicants from the Express Entry system based on their Comprehensive Ranking System score which is calculated based on age, level of completed education, language abilities in French or English, skilled work experience, previous work or study in Canada, a job offer in Canada and having a sibling living in Canada who is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident. If the Express Entry applicant is married, they also earn points for their spouse's level of completed education, language abilities in French or English, previous work or study in Canada, or if they have a sibling living in Canada who is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
