At last, the final challenge. This quest doesn't get unlocked until you beat ALL other quests.
The monsters here are the online versions. They have significantly higher HP and deal more damage. I played it pretty safe and didn't do anything crazy. Just circled and waited for superpound openings. As far as final quests go, I reckon this is the easiest one in the series.
Final thoughts on this game:
This is a hard game to get into. The strange controls (d-pad controls camera, right stick attacks), the brutal difficulty, the tedious farming. It's just an unwelcoming game. I don't think I would have ever given this game a chance if I wasn't already familiar with MH from playing Tri and 3 Ultimate for hundreds of hours.
I think there's only fun to be had for someone who, like me, came from the newer games seeking a challenge. It's challenging all right, but it does take forever to get to the good stuff. Far too many gathering quests and small monster quests. In fact, over half the game is made up of filler quests like that. But once you get past that and start making progress toward crafting powerful gear, it's pretty fulfilling.
I rate the story mode 6/10. Kind of low score, but it's hard to recommend this because I feel like only the most dedicated players will be able to find the fun in it.
