China says suspected spy balloon flying over U.S. is theirs but used to gather weather data

China's Foreign Ministry said Friday a suspected spy balloon flying over the U.S. is used to gather meteorological information and deviated from its scheduled route. The object was seen flying over Montana, where some U.S. nuclear missile facilities are located.
