Faculty of Allied Health Sciences (FAHS)

Faculty of Allied Health Sciences (FAHS) became the seventh faculty of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University with its establishment in November 2012.Initially housed in the faculty of Medicine building in Ratmalana, the faculty shifted to the newly constructed venue at Werahara in November 2014.🏥✨

The FAHS received its first batch of undergraduates in 2013 under diverse courses in Nursing, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Sciences and Radiography. With the aspirations of creating skilled professionals to the medical field in the country, FAHS offers its courses to civilians, foreign students, military personals and lateral entry students from the Ministry of Health 👩🏻‍🔬🧑🏻‍🔬

The Faculty provides students ample opportunities to enhance their professional skills and academic knowledge with the guidance and mentorship of the well qualified staff of KDU♥️✨

The Faculty has produced highly disciplined and well capable undergraduates to provide professional health care since its inception 💯✨
