Input: pink camshaft
Output: two yellow bars moving straight up and down intermittently.
The cam is a combination of barrel cam and disc cam.
The green slider changes the horizontal position of the blue follower so that the two yellow bars are activated respectively.
One working cycle of the mechanism corresponds to two revolutions of the cam.
The cam is called double-grooved eccentric in mechanism 437 of four-cycle gas engine in the book “1800 Mechanical Movements, Devices and Appliances”, Gardner D. Hiscox, 1921.
