Welcome to Movie Shortens. Miles is a troubled adolescent whose dreams are just out of reach due to broken down equipment. While his mechanic father, Chuck, supports his son's motocross dreams, he also hopes for a collegiate future for him, attempting to steer Miles toward a more secure life. When one of the friends, Sam, plays a prank on Miles by abandoning him in the desert, Miles runs into a highly advanced military grade robotic dog hiding in an abandoned junkyard nearby. On the verge of self-destruction, the dog quickly recognizes and accepts the motocross rider's companionship. Helping Miles gain the confidence he's been lacking, the dog also protects his new companion, including facing off against the bad friends. In returns, Miles teams up with a smart, resourceful girl friend named Sara to protect his new best friend against the scientists who created him and who will do anything to get him back on a timeless, epic adventure.
